How to add color knitting

Okay, why am I adding this one? Well, because last time I wanted to do a cute scarf it had big holes where I added the new color!

So I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find this video again when I needed it, so I put it on here

Okay, I'm posting this after the fact but on January 12th my daughter informs me she needs a 'wool' hat that ties for her ski trip NEXT WEEKEND!

After searching most of the weekend, and she not finding the 'right' one (it also had to be stylish, she buys me a skein of wool yarn and we start seaching for the right pattern. Finally, Sunday, in my 'not your mama's knitting' book by Heather Dixon, we find the 'right' one.

I start, oh, it was an easy one (NOT). A tall hat with a pom-pom and CABLES and from the top down, with EARFLAPS! Needless to say, her confidance in me was higher than my confidance in ME! So I start, and really started to enjoy it, then I needed to do an increase by purling in the front of the stitch and then in the back of the stitch. Sound pretty easy. But it just kept sliding off needle! Darn! I've spent too much time to start over on a new one and I'm getting frustrated!

So I go on the internet! Oh yeah, they're going to show me how to do it. I still didn't get it! So now what!?! I'm on a time-table here!

So I go to You Tube! Oh--Yes--there it is, and it's sooo easy!

Well, the hat got done on 16th of Jan,

she wore it to school on Thursday, and on Friday morning she couldn't find it!

Oh Yeah---I saw them-------

-----------------------------FLAMES of ANGER!!!

Then I turned it over to...............

..................................God!

I got a 'boat load' of peace! WOW!

Then I texted Laura at school and told her it was okay...and about that time I got a texted that she had it!

So she wore it to the ski trip and it was a hit and everyone thought her mom was a terribly talanted knitter! Yeah, got them fooled!

It is solid black! But now she bought a blue North face jacket. Just like this one!

Now, I'm doing a blue scarf (Laura want's to learn to knit, so I bought her this kit, but the first item was way to hard, so she picked a pattern for a scarf and kept asking questions, so I figured it would be easier to do one too) So that's whats on the needles no.

So here I go again! And we live in Alabama...it's not cold down here long...so I got to run, or should I say I gotta knit!
